Self Portraits: Students created portraits by using cut paper, crayons, markers and unravelled rope.




Water Color Painting Techniques


 Students painted rocks and water by applying water color washes over pieces of torn paper.



First grade students created crayon resists by painting in water color over crayon and cray pas drawings.

Relief Prints: Students pressed aluminum foil onto leaves to create a print.


Field Trips: Art Appreciation at MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Whitney Museum of Art





Mixed Media Drawing: Students drew dinosaurs and lizards using marker, crayon, and water color.





Painted Sculptures: Inspired by the Frank Stella show at The Whitney Museum of American Art.








Shadow Boxes: Students created simple stories in a three dimensional shadow box.


Sculpture: Students used clay and paper mache to make angels, elves, and paint tubes from Cassie.
